We each spend a dozen or more years trying to escape from it and the rest of our lives plotting our courses back. If I were asked to describe life's quest with a single word, it would be “HOME.”

It houses your hopes, your loves, passions, preference, and much more. It expands beyond the walls of the bedrooms and the kitchen, out into the neighborhood, and the streets, and wormholes it’s way into your soul to a connection point with your future self. Your hopes. Your plans. Your dreams.

I am a father of two children. An owner of one dog. A lover of one woman. An enthusiast of two sports and spectator of more. A writer of words and poems and stories and maybe (one day) of books. I am a practicing artisan. A proficient marketer. A developing pedagogue of blog. I am a purveyor of many households, but the chief administrator of only one. According to GEEK CODE I am a GP, GH, and a GO. (I am pushing to have GRE added to the "types list"). There is at least one thing THE GEEK is NOT. I am NOT a salesman.
I am a Realtor by designation, licensed since 2003. I am a licensed broker since 2005. Ironically, I really don’t care for most realtors. As people, many of them are great. But, Realtors generally see themselves as salespeople. I dislike SALESPEOPLE. Being a very philosophical sort of Real Estate Professional, the so-called "art of selling" chafes against every fiber of my being.
A true salesman has no relationships. She or he has targets. Leads. Opportunities. Prospects. A salesman's first goal is the sale. And customer satisfaction is only important as a means of meeting their own sales goals. As a Realtor it is my job to understand and prioritize all your financial and family goals along with your aesthetic wants and emotional desires in order to achieve YOUR goals... buying or selling the right house, to the right people, at the right time, and at the best agreeable price.
